About FleetProto

Practical local-first tools for telematics and video protocol engineering.

For protocol engineers

FleetProto focuses on repetitive debugging work: frame cleanup, checksum verification, header inspection, positioning fields, SIP sessions and media packet diagnostics.

Editorial and engineering ownership

An independent editorial and engineering team maintains parser scope, test vectors, source selection and corrections. Every tool states its protocol boundary, common failure modes, verification checklist and review date so readers can distinguish implemented behavior from assumptions requiring a licensed document or vendor profile.

Reproducible reports with a redacted sample, edition and expected byte interpretation are prioritized. Confirmed changes receive regression coverage before publication.

How it is funded

The site may display advertising. Ads do not alter parser logic or tool ranking and are kept away from protocol input controls.

Advertisers, vendors and platform providers cannot pay for a preferred field interpretation, default or compatibility claim. Advertising revenue supports hosting, source monitoring, testing and maintenance while engineering decisions remain independent.
